Meet the team
Anne Meikle, Head of WWF Cymru
Anne leads the team and represents WWF in the media and with our partners in Wales. Backed by the policy and communications resources of the Welsh staff and UK organisations, she seeks to influence decision-makers on issues such as marine legislation, sustainable development and climate change.
Joanne Wakeham, Team Co-ordinator
Joanne co-ordinates the plans and activities of the WWF Cymru team, and provides financial and administrative support together with general office management services.
Kim Richards, Acting Communications Manager
Kim oversees WWF Cymru's communications work in Wales. She identifies and coordinates activities that aim to secure the highest favourable brand profile for WWF amongst its key target audiences in Wales. She leads WWF Cymru's campaigning work which includes organising a range of media and consumer friendly activities.
Sarah Harris, Campaigns and Media Officer
Sarah's main responsibilities are to raise WWF Cymru's profile and to communicate our main messages to the Welsh press and media. She also works on our campaigns ensuring our asks and messages reach other key audiences in Wales and objectives are met.
Nichola James, Policy Officer
Nicky's role within the team is to develop and advocate WWF Cymru's policy positions to key audiences in Wales. Nicky is the main point of contact with civil servants in the Welsh Assembly, its agencies and partners, and works to promote WWF's position on legislation and policy affecting the environment.
Dr Iwan Ball, Marine Policy Officer
Iwan's role is to develop and advocate marine policy positions in the Welsh context on issues prioritised by the UK programme, and the Wales Strategic Plan, engaging with stakeholders and other audiences in Wales as determined by the communications strategy.
David Parker, Marine Policy Officer
David's's role is to inform and develop marine policy in Wales, with a particular focus on the promotion of a Marine Spatial Planning and integrated licensing system for our seas. He works with a number of partners, as well as government and stakeholders, to advocate WWF's position on improving the protection and management of the marine environment.
Ruth Bates, Communications Manager
On maternity leave until June 2010
