Do you have a climate story to share?
Many people in Wales have started to witness changes they suspect might be linked to climate change. If you have a story to tell you could become a WWF climate witness.
WWF Cymru has so far recruited two climate witnesses
Wyn Evans
Meet Wyn Evans a third generation farmwe from Pembrokeshire who has witnessed many changes on his organic farm over the last 40 years. Read Wyn's full strory and watch him on his farm.
Jerry Percy
Meet Jerry Percy who is the Chief Executive of the Welsh Federation of Fishermen's Asscoiation (WFFA) who in his testimonials expesses and reflects the concerns of hte fishing industry due to climate change. Read Jerry's full story and watch him on video.
Become a WWF Climate Witness
By demonstrating that climate change is already affecting the lives of people everywhere we can show world leaders that the time for positive action is here and now.
All Climate Witness stories are reviewed by a member of our Science Advisory Panel. This helps us to ensure they are consistent with the latest science on human induced climate change.

Climate Impacts in Wales.
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. In Wales we are currently heading for a future with summer temperatures 4 to 6 degrees hotter within our children’s lifetimes. Keeping temperature increase to less than 2 degrees is the only safe option.
Summary of Impacts for Wales
- Increase in frequency of intense rainfall events
- Decrease in groundwater levels
- Increased flooding of low-lying coastal areas
- Hotter and drier summers
- Increase in extremely warm days
- Milder wetter winters
- Reduction in snowfall and frost

Land Management Conference, 1 October 2009
The Environment Agency’s conference aims to bring partners in Wales together to explore opportunities and benefits for a targeted approach to land management, addressing issues such as water quality, flood risk management, water resources and carbon storage. Delegates will be invited to consider ways in which land management options can be integrated into various policies to deliver on the Welsh Assembly Government’s Environment Strategy for Wales and Water Framework Directive objectives.
